Full economy recovery!

SINGAPORE will take two to three years to bounce back from the recession - and this is the optimistic scenario that assumes the United States recovers next year.

The pessimistic forecast? Five to six years, according to Minister Mentor Lee
Kuan Yew, who spoke last night at the launch of an alumni complex at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Yes, Singapore is a country that is reliance on exports. Unless the major markets economy is running smoothly and on the up trends.

During my early days in Higher Diploma course; back then we were studying about Asian Economic Environment. A closely knitted economy and its benefits.

I do strongly support for an
Asean integrated economy, the 1o Nations will have the ability to leverage its market of 570 million people and compete for investments with China and India, the world's fastest growing economies. Slightly bigger in population size of EU of 499 million people. But don't forget we have a cheap labour market here and very good potential growth in years to come!

Lastly, I guess much need to be done to help businesses to overcome hard times and to minimise layoff and also to bring landlords in shopping malls and privatised flatted factory to reduce rent for their tenants.
